Elementary students ate breakfast with veterans and put on performances for them during the Veterans Day celebration at the school on Wednesday, Nov. 13.
This was the first Veterans Day celebration to be held at Mayfield Elementary in a number of years.
The assembly was followed by a breakfast for the more than 50 veterans in attendance representing all military branches. Total attendance was more than 100 with guests.
Each grade level, Pre-k thru 6th, sang a song or read a poem. The band played and the chorus sang.
