Kindergarten students and their families gathered to build gingerbread houses recently, an annual tradition at the elementary school. Students chose a family member to help them decorate a gingerbread house. The students are in kindergarten classes taught by Marcie Jordan, Lisa Klena and Jennifer Mellen. Third grader Aurora Horne wanted to help people, so she approached Principal Katria Hitrick about a Thanksgiving food drive at the elementary school.
