Kindergarten families build gingerbread houses

Kindergarten students and their families gathered to build gingerbread houses recently, an annual tradition at the elementary school. Students chose a family member to help them decorate a gingerbread house.  The students are in kindergarten classes taught by Marcie Jordan, Lisa Klena and Jennifer Mellen. Elementary students toss hundreds of toys into the “sleigh”

Mayfield Elementary School students carried their holiday gifts to the assembly, where local firefighters and a state police officer were set to help them stuff the “sleigh,” a van from the Salvation Army of Fulton and Montgomery Counties. Hundreds of food items donated to elementary school collection

Third grader Aurora Horne wanted to help people, so she approached Principal Katria Hitrick about a Thanksgiving food drive at the elementary school.
