The following is notification pursuant to NYS Education Law in connection with the application of herbicide to the Mayfield Central School District athletic fields at the Jr/Sr High and Elementary Schools on Sunday, Sept. 15, 2024.
This notice is to inform you of a pending pesticide application at a neighboring property and/or the property you are visiting or working at. You may wish to take precautions to minimize pesticide exposure to yourself, family members, pets or family possessions. Further information about the product or products being applied, including any warnings that appear on the labels of such pesticide or pesticides that pertain to the protection of humans, animals or the environment can be obtained by calling the National Pesticide Information Center” (NPIC ) at 1-800-858-7378 or the New York State Department of Health Center for Environmental Health information line at 1-800-458-1158.
Marker flags will be posted at entry sites to the property.
Please note that the athletic fields will be closed during this time and will reopen on Monday, Sept. 16, 2024.
