Mayfield Inducts 14 into National Honor Society

Fourteen students were inducted into the Mayfield Junior-Senior High Chapter of the National Honor Society during an evening ceremony held on June 5 in the Mayfield Junior-Senior High Auditorium.

NHS students are called on to uphold the core pillars of Scholarship, Service, Character and Leadership. This year, under the leadership of Chapter President Lillian Smullen Vice-President Madison Andrews, Secretary Kaylee Klymkow, Treasurer Ashley King and Advisor Pam King, the Mayfield NHS students contributed over 500 hours of service to their school and community.

The ceremony also included a tribute to Mrs. Sharon Roth, who was honored with this year’s Outstanding Teacher Award. Mrs. Roth’s excellence as a teacher in the Science department, as well as her commitment to working with students as a coach and advisor in multiple sports and clubs have made her an invaluable member of the Mayfield faculty in her 20 years with the District.
