Mayfield Central School District will be accepting registrations as of Feb. 27, 2023, for its 2023-24 pre-kindergarten classes.
The MCSD pre-kindergarten program is open to children who will turn 4 years old on or before Dec. 1, and who reside in the Mayfield school district.
Mayfield offers spots for 36 pre-k students (two classes of 18), which is a full-day program held 5 days a week. If there are more applicants than available slots, selections are determined by lottery, and those not selected are placed on a waiting list.
Deadline for registration is April 28, and the lottery (if needed) will take place in early May. Registration must be completed by April 28 to be eligible for the lottery.
Parents are invited to attend a pre-k information night beginning at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 29, in the Elementary School library.
Dates for a screening in the summer and orientation before school starts in September are to be determined.
Registration packets can be picked up in the Registrar’s Office at the Junior/Senior High School.
