Angela Snyder, a school behaviorist for Mayfield Central School District who also volunteers for Therapy Dog International, recently brought her therapy dog, Scarlett, in to visit students.
In addition to spending some time with Scarlett, eighth-graders also had the opportunity to learn about Therapy Dog International and the work that therapy dogs do. They also learned about Scarlett’s journey from being rescued as an abandoned puppy in Alabama to training to be a therapy dog.
Mrs. Snyder also introduced Scarlett to students at the Elementary School.
