This year we are excited to be using the Fountas & Pinnell Leveled Literacy Intervention reading program. If your child is selected to participate in our program he/she will have daily 30 minute lessons that will include reading, writing and phonics. This instruction is in addition to the regular reading instruction offered in the classroom. Each night your child will bring home a "take-home book". This book can stay home and be read and re-read for practice and enjoyment.

GO TO THE LIBRARY. THE MAYFIELD COMMUNITY LIBRARY, LOCATED AT THE HIGH SCHOOL, IS OPEN MONDAY- FRIDAY FROM 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM AND THURSDAY EVENINGS FROM 5:00 - 8:00 PM AND SATURDAY FROM 9:00 AM - NOON.
PARTICIPATE IN READ 25.
KEEP A JOURNAL. WRITE ABOUT DAILY ACTIVITIES AND FAVORITE THINGS.
PLAY GAMES LIKE SCRABBLE AND BOGGLE ON RAINY DAYS.
